STATUS VW VEWIB is a family run business. Barclay Stainton (Manager) has restored numerous show-winning VWs since the mid 1990s. His mother Julie (Company Secretary) works in the office and warehouses at STATUS VW, his late father Bernie was also a founding director and worked in the offices regularly until he passed away in January 2006. Because we are a family run company, we understand the needs of each customer, whether you are spending five pounds or five thousand pounds your custom is important to us.

We have grown to become one of the leading independent vintage VW specialists in Europe. We import parts mainly from Germany, but also from the rest of the world - sourcing quality parts that you, our customers, need for your vehicles.

We have built up an excellent reputation for our Original VW rubber seals - not nasty repro Brazilian ones. Many garages and restoration shops throughout the UK refuse to fit seals from anyone other than ourselves - a high commendation indeed! We firmly believe in quality and will not supply you with a poor reproduction rubber seal that will leak even when new.
