Despite the very common tenancy to increase power out put of the Beetle's engine, people often neglect the requirement to upgrade the brake components too. Not only does it make the car far safer to drive, it also dramatically improves the driving experience.

There's a wide range of brake upgrades available, and they simply stop where your inginuity does. The cost of brake improvements also varies wildly from just a few pounds, to thousands, and it all depends on what the final outcome needs to be.

Often overlooked, stock brakes are not as bad as you might think. A simple routine service of the orginal equipment will usually dramitically improve the braking performance, and won't break the bank either!
